Daxsounds.com is the official beat store, social platform and resource center by Ft Lauderdale based music producer Dax Sounds. This community is a place where music artist, producers or anyone looking to fuel their projects and career endeavors, can find inspiration and industry grade music.
THE STORY BEHIND THE MUSIC – At the age of 7, Dax Sounds was introduced to song creation through a cousin who was a DJ at the time. With a big annual show approaching, the cousin/DJ had an idea of creating a rap song from scratch and having the young Dax Sounds perform the song.
For several weeks, Dax Sounds and his cousin/DJ created a BEAT with a keyboard, wrote the song and started rehearsing.
Being faced with the difficulty of getting a quality recorded BEAT from the keyboard, Dax Sounds ended up not performing. This was a very disappointing ordeal for the duo however, the experience alone fueled a passion for song creation in Dax Sounds that burns strong to this day.
Dax Sounds has a unique and distinctive sound that can be identified with Southern hard hittin drums, deep boomin 808s , creative abstract musical melodies with a subtle hint of reggae and calypso.
